Much of an organization's success is dependent on protecting its data, and to do so, a technical leader is needed to establish, present and govern security programs, lead incident handling and manage risk. The CISSP-ISSMP certification recognizes information security managers who have the experience to do this and tests their knowledge on leading an enterprise security program.

On April 1, 2013, the domains covered within the ISSMP examination changed to reflect the most current work performed by and knowledge required for an ISSMP. The domain changes include:

  • Domain 1: “Security Management Practices” domain -> “Security Leadership and Management” domain
  • Domain 2: “Systems Development Security” domain -> “Security Lifecycle Management” domain
  • Domain 3: No change
  • Domain 4: “Understand Business Continuity Planning (BCP) & Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP)” domain -> “Contingency Management” domain
  • Domain 5: “Law, Investigation, Forensics and Ethics” domain -> “Law, Ethics and Incident Management” domain

The Candidate Information Bulletin provides a blueprint to the changes within each domain. Download it today to learn more.
